Encore Brass

Encore Brass is a brass choir based in Portland, Oregon. Members come from all walks of life to share their love of brass instruments and brass music. From sacred to secular, the group plays a variety of music written or arranged for brass ensembles spanning musical genres such as classical, light jazz, theater and film, and contemporary.

From September through May the concentration is on performing full brass choir music. Two principal performances include a December concert with the Liedertafel (German Singing Society) and a concert at St. Paul Lutheran (Portland) Church's "Light in Winter" series.

During the summer months the group plays at a number of outdoor events choosing our repertoire from a selection of marches, polkas, popular, and classic rock tunes. Two usual venues include the Milwaukie Farmer's Market, normally in July, and St. Paul Lutheran (Sherwood) Church's Oktoberfest celebration in late September.

Encore Brass is an Oregon nonprofit organization and has federal 501(c)(3) status. Revenue earned from performances is used to buy music and equipment which allows the group to extend membership without annual dues or fees.
